Our Story
The Western States Organized Retail Crime Alliance (WSORCA) is pleased to introduce the Traveling Organized Retail Crime Hub (TORCH) initiative, the first national call addressing traveling ORC groups and investigations.
What began as a need identified in the Western States has grown into a national initiative, shaped by feedback from ORC investigators, retailers, law enforcement, and ORCA leaders from across the country.
Building on the success of national ORC initiatives, such as the ORC blitzes led by the Cook County Regional Organized Crime Task Force (CCROC) and the Cook County States Attorney's Office, TORCH will bring partners together to share information, strengthen collaboration, and help identify and disrupt traveling ORC crews operating across jurisdictions.
We are grateful to the ORCAs and partners who have helped shape this initiative and look forward to new partners supporting this initiative as we continue to work together to make a meaningful impact.
Meeting Objectives:
-
Identify and examine top traveling crew offenders operating regionally and nationally
